A panel discussion on The Advancing Gender Equality in Haryana: Learning from the Best Practices was convened by SDGCAC, under the aegis of Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management (SJHIFM) in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Haryana. 

The discussion brought state departments into conversation with leading organisations that have built proven models in women's economic empowerment, safety, and social transformation. Aligned with the priorities of Viksit Haryana 2047, the workshop was structured around two moderated panel discussions: Building Women's Agency and Economic Opportunity and Women's Safety, and Social Transformation, and brought together chief guests Dr Raj Nehru (Director General, SJHIFM), Dr Priyanka Soni, IAS (Director, Women and Child Development Department, Haryana), and Ms Isabelle Tschan (Deputy Resident Representative, UNDP India), alongside panellists from pioneering organisations including PRADAN, IWWAGE, SEWA Bharat, Safetipin, and the Gates Foundation. The discussions aimed to facilitate a structured exchange of evidence-based practices, foster cross-departmental convergence on gender mainstreaming, and identify actionable steps that can be adapted to the Haryana context for the greatest impact.
